The Host
Sharicka "Tika J" Josaphat

Sharicka G. Josaphat, also known as Tika J, is a Haitian-American worship leader, singer-songwriter, mentor, youth leader, and Minister of Music with a heart dedicated to serving the Kingdom of God. With over 15 years of ministry experience, Sharicka has poured her heart and soul into her calling, infusing it with renewed purpose and vitality, especially during its rebranding in 2018. Her ministry is a reflection of creativity, inclusivity, and love, where she encourages others to embrace their identity in Christ and find strength in the power of worship.
Sharicka's life story is one of triumph, resilience, and unwavering faith.
From a young age, Sharicka struggled with self-esteem and self-worth, which led her to seek validation in unhealthy ways. Her desire to "fit in" often affected her relationships and connections, leaving her vulnerable to emotional struggles and doubts. Facing a divorce before the age of 30, while caring for two small children, was a pivotal moment in Sharicka's life. The end of her marriage forced her to confront the reality of shifting her focus from her relationship and family life to God and herself. This transition was not easy, as she had spent years prioritizing the needs of others. She embarked on this journey of HER, physically, spiritually. and emotionally, allowing herself the time and space to heal. Through this process, she found peace and a renewed sense of purpose.
Her story serves as a powerful reminder that even in the most difficult seasons, there is hope for transformation. By embracing the shift and prioritizing her well-being, Sharicka emerged stronger, more confident, and ready to impact the world around her.
